Hi there! It’s nice to see you! Please, sit, make yourself comfortable.
My name’s Sara, I’ve been twenty years old for almost two weeks now, and welcome to my blog! My main purpose with this blog is to develop some habits for the new year instead of just sitting on my ass at home for the next month until I go back to school. I’m going to be posting here every other day (starting with today, January 1st) and on off days, I plan to make YouTube videos! I’ll be linking (or embedding, if I can figure out how to do that) the previous day’s video in each post so you don’t have to go to YouTube to find my videos if you don’t feel like it.
I’m not sure how best to introduce myself without making a monotonous list of thing I think are important about myself (though if you want to know the basics just read the “about” section on this blog or check out my twitter!), so instead I just googled “good ice-breakers” and decided to answer a few here to give you an idea of what kind of person I am (courtesy of “The Only List of Icebreaker Questions You’ll Ever Need” from Museum Hack, which you can find here).
What is one article of clothing that someone could wear that would make you walk out on a date with them?
One of those “I speak fluent sarcasm” shirts. Feel free to wear a t-shirt on our date, I don’t care one way or the other, but if you think you’re cool because you pretend to care about other people and their interests, I want nothing to do with you.
The zombie apocalypse is coming, who are 3 people you want on your team?
The Rock (for muscles and morale), my friend Lauren (who has seemingly infinite knowledge about plants, animals, and basically how not to die in nature), and my little younger brother (because I would be miserable if I went anywhere without him).
What is your most-used emoji?
😂 followed by 👏.
What was the worst style choice you ever made?
When I was in fifth grade, animal prints were so in, so I bought hot pink zebra-striped arm warmers and a white-and-rainbow zebra-striped scarf. I wore them at the same time.
Who was your childhood actor/actress crush?
I wasn’t very into actors, but I loved Jesse McCartney, his was the first album I (see: my dad) bought. I also definitely had a crush on Alyson Stoner when Camp Rock first came out, but I didn’t realize I liked girls until about eight years later, so that’s more of a hindsight thing.
If you were a wrestler what would be your entrance theme song?
Just Like Fire by P!nk.
Have you ever been told you look like someone famous, who was it?
Demi Lovato when I was a kid (which to me was the highest compliment possible, I desperately wanted to be her when I grew up) and now my friends think I look exactly like Syd from One Day At A Time, which I also take as a compliment, but I don’t see it.
You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?
Love Song by Sara Bareilles.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Cheese ravioli, hands down.
I guess that’s a decent attempt at a first post. Thanks for making it to the end, I’m happy to have you here. Come back on Thursday for something a little more interesting, ideally!
